The beginnings of Investment Technology Labs occurred in the Fall of 1989, when the company's president left a software consulting position at JPL’s Robotics Lab to start-up an investment group and trade the markets full time. It became apparent very quickly that the software components needed for high tech daytrading did not exist. As a result, Investment Technology Labs has developed component software tools for trading system development to fill this need. Using these same software components internally to trade the markets, we currently marketing these tools worldwide to individual developers you want to make their own personal custom trading system and to companies who want to develop an in-house trading system.
